Goal: I am trying to eat mostly lean meats and veggies, and a little bit of fruits, and cut back on the carbs and try to knock out most of them from my diet. Would really love to lose 10 pounds and get abs like Marissa Miller :-p
Breakfast
- protein shake (Low Carb Ultramet...230kcal) with 4 tbsp of PB2 (an awesome low calorie powdered peanut butter...2 tbsp=45kcal), 2 small scoops fiber, and a scoop of oats (I know, not exactly following the no carb thing, but I think this is an exception that I can deal with)....total kcal probably around 400-450
* I get to work at 4:45am and make my shake there at around 5:15 or 5:30 normally, and need something that keeps me full until I get home from work at 10am)
Snack
- 2 string cheeses (80 kcal each).....I know, I know.....2 is probably excessive. oops.
Lunch
- Pre-packaged meal from the gym with grilled chicken, yams, and broccoli (325 kcal)
Snack
- 1/2 to-go sized trail mix (200 kcal-ish)
- 3 slices dried Mangoes (75kcal-ish)
- A few yogurt covered raisins (25 kcal)
*total snack = 300 kcal
Dinner
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt with some honey (250ish kcal)
Daily total kcal = Just around 1500
Oh, by the way...not that you care, but it's 8:30 and I am off to bed....I couldn't be more excited about sleep than I am right now!! My body needs to re-charge!
Today's Workout:
I am beyond exhausted...I can barely keep my eyes open while typing this and left work early because I was so tired and dizzy....I have been sleeping about 4 hours a night, 5 if I'm lucky....I can't do that to myself anymore.....I really wanted to go to crossfit today but just couldn't bring myself to do it, especially after leaving work....I have been extremely tight in my lower back/hip flexors lately and in some pain...I really need to loosen up and gain some flexibility back.....I decided to hop on Netflix and see what they had to offer in terms of exercise videos....I found a Crunch fitness Pilates video and gave it a try....I was very pleasantly surprised! I am usually skeptical about Pilates videos and feel like I did not get a workout in after, but throughout this one I was sweating and feeling the burn! My core got a great workout and my back already feels a little better. I doubt I burned a ton of calories, but that workout was just what I needed :)
